Each report scores a company on the seven signals, names the control point, and lays out what the Street is missing. Share them freely.

Every score is public and timestamped. The framework is built to be falsifiable — it says no as often as yes. Some companies score 3/7, and the report explains exactly which signals fired, which didn't, and why the shift hasn't confirmed.

Blueshift / noun

In astronomy, light shifts toward blue when its source is moving toward you. A blueshift means something is approaching. In markets, a blueshift is a structural shift moving toward you before consensus sees it. The seven-signal Blueshift Framework detects it while it's still forming: five or more active signals confirm the shift is real, not noise.

The Method

Seven signals. One question: is value structurally moving?

Every platform shift of the last thirty years fired the same signals before consensus caught on. The framework checks for all seven.

SIGNAL 01

Interface Shift

A fundamentally new way people interact with computing appears.

SIGNAL 02

Cost Collapse

The cost of a core input drops by an order of magnitude.

SIGNAL 03

Developer Gravity

Builders migrate toward the new platform and don't come back.

SIGNAL 04

Distribution Capture

A new chokepoint forms between products and customers.

SIGNAL 05

Profit Migration

Margins move from incumbents toward the new layer.

SIGNAL 06

Incumbent Hesitation

Leaders hedge, reorganize, and talk strategy instead of shipping it.

SIGNAL 07

Capital Flood

Institutional money converges on the shift faster than fundamentals.

5+ signals active = structural shift confirmed. A low score doesn't mean a poor investment — NVDA would have scored 1/7 in 2006. It means the shift hasn't started.
Web to AI · Three Decades in Practice

The framework didn't come from a textbook. It came from doing.

A working method behind real calls — most recently in AI — refined across every major platform shift from the web forward.

2025
Called the AI Enterprise Shift — Before the Company Did
A leading AI venture, backed by some of the largest names in technology, had spent four years building a consumer product. The framework read five signals firing at once — interface shift, cost collapse, developer gravity, profit migration, incumbent hesitation. The conclusion wasn't a matter of taste: go enterprise, or get bypassed. They threw out the roadmap and rebuilt around it. Result: revenue up 50x, valuation up 5x, and a major funding round closed on the new direction.

1999
Backed the Company That Became AdSense
The framework flagged contextual advertising as the structural shift four years before the market named it. Steve was the lead investor in Oingo, later Applied Semantics, which carried a line of "sense"-branded products. Google acquired it in 2003 and kept both the product and the name: AdSense. At Google's 2004 IPO, the Google Network business AdSense anchored accounted for roughly half of Google's revenue — up from 43% the year before — and the business AdSense still anchors generates roughly $30 billion a year today.
